My 34th birthday celebration was blessed by powers of good and righteousness: most of my favorite people were in one place; we were spared a rain-out by generous indoor seating and a quickly moving storm; Nadette's mother got me drunk with one shot of "Czech liquor;" and Michele brought red velvet cupcakes just for me.
