Too drunk to leave, too broke to stay
Angela and I having a bit of craic
Amy and I avoiding packing (with craic)
There were a few Chickens who dared attempt to keep up with Lewis Black drink-wise after his show at the CCF. Realizing the futility of our mission, Amy, Michele and I, accompanied by our sober hosts, took the party back to the hotel until the sun reminded us it was time to go home.
So, kiss me and smile for me...
Carolina Comedy Festival
Sneaking back onto the Union Auditorium stage after Lewis Black's set
Chicken Ranch has just returned from the Carolina Comedy Festival in Chapel Hill, NC, where we shared a stage (not at the same time) with Lewis Black and other great comics. We had a fabulous time, met lots of great people and did a kick-ass show, if I do say so myself. I'll be going to Carolina in my mind more often now.

Avoiding blisters
and fascinating my instructor at the same time
My shoes were rubbing my toes in a mildly painful, yet potentially blister-inducing way, so I shed them for improv class, snubbing my nose (toes?) at the one rule I have faithfully observed from my days as an acting student: never go barefoot on stage. Take that John Oertling. Your rules have been holding me back for far too long.
Thanks, Jay Rhoderick, for setting my feet (and my inner artist) free.
Joan of Arc Island
Writing in my journal
Post-therapy, I found a little slice of nature on W. 93rd Street just east of Riverside Park. Joan of Arc Island is surrounded by traffic, not water, but it's a lovely spot for a contemplative pause.
Fun with Augie

Michele and I watching the puppy.
I can't stand it anymore, so I borrowed my pal Michele's camera while mine is being fixed. I've been dog sitting for the handsome Augie this week. He is such a love muffin.
Chickens leave Thursday for the Carolina Comedy Festival. B'gawk!
Follow the sun
It was this sunny yesterday and the day before...
