Happy birthday, Kristina

The nineteenth of November was a big day: Cindee, Dave and I saw The Modern Kids and Centralia at Chashama;

then I strolled downtown to Kristina's impromptu birthday party at Bowery Poetry Club, where I managed to capture several foot blog debuts.

Sam was relieved that Kristina had made a poorer choice in footwear:

Winter-time flips vs. old sneakers? My smart black oxfords win (mostly because they make me 2.5 inches taller and keep my pants from dragging the ground).

Kristina, thanks for a great party. You are adorkable.

Preparing to rock at Arlene's Grocery

After the art show, Cindee and I popped over to Arlene's to see our pal Betsy rock the night fantastic with her band, The Booty Olympics.

They were so awesome, I had to go back inside to find my face after the show.

You should check out these fine ladies. I mean, if you like kick-ass rock.

Artsy

Cindee invited me to an art show, Toy2R, organized by her roommate Sephrah. Sephrah's husband Bill also had a piece in the show. It was something about Japanese toys, something about art, and something very cool.

Stopping by my (yes, my) library on my way to work, my heart almost exploded when I saw...

It's official.

My submersion into office culture is complete. I've filled out my insurance forms, attended two co-worker birthday potlucks, occasionally goofed off by blogging my feet

and

I purchased Tupperware.

In my defense, it was more from nostalgia than office politics. Growing up, this is the style of pitcher we had for iced tea. Y'all come on over and I'll pour you a glass.
